85 Broad Street Cafe

New York, NY

Architect

Mancini Duffy

After the clean-up of damage done by Hurricane Sandy to 85 Broad Street’s cellar level, the building owner wanted to fully re-design the space in order to re-position it as an option for tenants on par with the nearby restaurants. The lighting design was conceived to enhance the dining experience and make it inviting even though the below-grade location prohibited natural light. A unique serpentine lighted wall, a reflective ceiling, and high lacquer wall finishes assisted in opening up the space.
