The headquarters of Wiley Publishing (John Wiley & Sons), located in Hoboken, New Jersey, features a drastic interior renovation of a 210-year-old company’s office into a modern work environment. Private offices and high work stations were eliminated and a new open plan, collaborative workplace was developed, allowing for beautiful views of the Hudson waterfront and a great amount of daylight. New amenity spaces including an experience center, conference center, and cafeteria were also redesigned to foster productivity and a sense of place. Ceiling and lighting variations throughout the space and limited use of decorative fixtures creates a timeless and unique workplace.
